Over the past several years Andrew has been smoking meats in the backyard, and Dean and family and friends have been enjoying Andrew’s creations. But Dean also did something very important, he paid attention to peoples’ reactions when trying Andrew’s BBQ for the first time and he knew they were on to something. Timing is everything, the boys were remote learning due to COVID and had plenty of extra time on their hands. Some say we are crazy to open in a pandemic, but we say, no time like the present!

Andrew learned his craft of smoking meats through trial and error and lots of research, practice and passion; he currently attends Penn State Lehigh Valley and oversees the smoking process. Dean is currently a Senior at West Chester University and will be graduating with a double major in Finance and Economics. He is the person who you will most likely first encounter when visiting the Barbecue Boys. So stop in and say hi, and we hope you enjoy our barbecue as much as we love being a part of Phillipsburg.
